Taking those first steps...
Whether you are considering career coaching for the first time or you’re familiar with the process and the benefits, it’s a big step and you need to make sure that coaching is right for you and that you choose a coaching program that feels like an approach you can get on board with. Choosing the right coach is vital and so we recommend the steps below if you are considering “True Path Coaching” as your partner.
01
Step One
Get Familiar
Get clear with what we offer, but more importantly, get clear on what you want from coaching. Even a broad idea of what you want to get from your time with us will help shape the right pathway.
02
Step Two
Discovery Session
Every journey starts with a free 45-minute discovery session (with an optional 15-minute follow-up). It’s your chance to explore what you need, and ours to confirm we can genuinely help. If we’re not the right fit, we’ll say so and refer where possible.
03
Step Three
Your Journey
Once we get started, we move quickly (without cutting corners). Our aim is lasting results – not keeping you in coaching forever. We’ll build your plan, strengthen your mindset, and help you create the career you desire.
Some of the benefits of career coaching the “True Path” way.
Gain Clarity
Often, under impactful listening and questioning, where we want to be starts to look different. Having clarity over your destination, the options to get you there and the known or hidden resources you already have or need, is a great place to be.
Increase confidence
Most of us have thoughts and ideas programmed by other people and past events. This can make us believe we are lacking some (or many) of the resources we need. This is almost always untrue. Disproving these ideas will increase your confidence and gradually make your old programming obsolete.
Reduce Stress
Managing stress is vital to performance and a good work-life balance. Drawing on Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) techniques and management tools, we can put strategies in place to achieve the career satisfaction you desire, with a good work-life balance and without the fear of burnout.

What is coaching?
Coaching is a structured, supportive and collaborative conversation that helps you gain clarity, overcome challenges, and move toward your goals with confidence and accountability. Life coaching can go deeper, redesigning your life to follow your true path. Coaching is an investment in yourself to improve areas of your life where you might be stuck, dissatisfied or where you want to achieve a goal.
How is coaching different from therapy?
Coaching focuses on the present and future — your goals, mindset, and actions.
Therapy often explores past experiences, trauma, and mental health conditions.
Both are valuable, but they serve different purposes.
A broad rule of thumb would be:
- If you are in distress then some form of therapy might be needed
- If you want to improve yourself out of a desire to get the life, job or goal you want, then coaching can support you.
What happens in a coaching session?
Sessions involve guided conversation, reflection, practical tools, and clear actions. You’ll explore what matters to you, what’s getting in the way, and what steps will move you forward.
How long is a coaching session?
Sessions are normally scheduled for 45 minutes but this can be adapted depending on your needs.
How many sessions will I need?
It’s not easy to define that because each person has a different start point and journey to go on. The gap between where you are now and where you want to be is key, as is how far you want us with you on that journey.
At True Path Coaching we’re looking to help as many people as possible, so whether you want to book a single “clarity” session, or a programme of 3, 6 or 12 sessions for deeper transformation, we’re good.
Do you offer a free consultation?
Absolutely. A free 45‑minute discovery session to explore your goals and see whether coaching feels right for you is crucial. I want to help you, not take your money under a false pretext.
An initial consultation is vital to understand whether you feel that you can work with us and whether what I offer can help you? I don’t know either until we start a coaching conversation together.
